How to get involved
Anyone with an idea, opinion, experience, article or photograph that they would like to share with other young people can contribute to CLIC. All you need to do is register and follow the simple instructions on how to submit your own content. Being a registered member also allows you to comment on other articles.
Part of the CLIC project is to help develop national and local Editorial Groups of interested young people who can steer the websites and content. These groups meet on a regular basis in person and online to discuss the running of the websites and act as reporters, gaining skills and experience along the way.
However if writing is not really your cup of tea but you still want to have your say or be associated with CLIC, you can:
- Leave us your comments on the relevant pages
- Add us on one of our social networking profiles
- Create your own social networking profile. If you have a project or would like to start up a group or profile for your local area, organisation or editorial group you can find tips and important points on our online safety pages.
National Editorial Group
The National Editorial Group was formed as the main CLIC site was being developed. They participated in a residential and helped to rewrite the existing information in our index. Along with groups from counties across Wales, they were heavily involved with the design and concept of CLIC. This group of young people are also partly responsible for the moderation of content and the development of projects and campaigns, whilst managing our social networking profiles. The enthusiastic young people in this group have excellent skills they can contribute, providing their opinions and acting as representatives for other young people in how the website should be developed. Contributing in this way not only allows people to develop their skills, but also to learn some new ones with the opportunity to gain accreditations and valuable work experience.
If you feel you can contribute and will like to get involved and join the group, please view (Link to editorial group page) and contact the National Editor, Ryan Heeger, by phone on 07515 566518 or by email at ryan@cliconline.co.uk.
Local Editorial Groups
Each county in Wales will either have or be in the process of developing an editorial group. Roles are the same as a National Editorial Group member, but on a local level with regular meetings.
How do I join?
